So you just had a baby - 9 months of gaining weight and your body going through countless physical changes…and with that came stretch marks!! Dreaded stretch marks!! Well, don’t bother going out and getting all of those fancy expensive creams that claim they will get rid of them because they won’t. But you can try to naturally reduce the appearance of them over time without spending a fortune. You can try to prevent them during your pregnancy but if your mom had stretch marks chances are you will too. However, it doesn’t hurt to put some good old cocoa and Shea butter on your stomach, arms, legs and hips. If anything it will keep you moisturized, soothes your skin and reduce that stretching feeling especially in your stomach area. Here are some tips that may help with your skins elasticity after pregnancy for your stretch marks: *Massage sesame seed and/or oil on the problem areas *Use an apricot scrub to exfoliate your skin *Try to maintain a balanced diet and don’t smoke!! *Body Brush your skin before you take a shower or try a microdermabrasion cloth *A doctor can prescribe you Retin-A but do not use if you are nursing!! *Drink plenty of water *Exercise *Put some lavender oil on the troubled areas *Put cocoa butter on your stretch marks *Add more green leafy vegetables, tomatoes, and liver to you diet *Mix some cod liver oil with some aloe Vera gel and put them on your stretchmarks *Add more Vitamin C and Vitamin E to your diet - and get moisturizers with these vitamins in them too *Mix jojoba oil, almond oil and avocado oil to make your own stretch mark massaging oils *Apply lotions with Vitamin K *Always be sure to consult your doctor if you have a current or pre-existing condition before trying natural remedies. Natural remedies are sometimes not best for all people. Filed under: Natural Remedies Comments:
