Benefits of Reishi
Posted on 05.25.07 by Your Natural Remedies @

I love finding out the health benefits of different herbs and foods and the latest I just read up on was Reishi. Reishi is a mushroom that is actually one of the most used herbal remedies in the Traditional Chinese Medicines. It has been used since the 2nd Century B.C. has is known as the herb of good fortune. It has only really been widely used since the 1970’s though because it was mainly just used for people of royalty and outsiders and commoners were restricted from using this special mushroom.

Here are some of the benefits of Reishi:

*Has anti-inflammatory qualities

*Great for respiratory problems like allergies and bronchitis

*Can help reduce blood pressure issues related to hypertension

*Aids in cancer remission because it acts as hypoglycemic agents

*Helps strengthen your immune system

*Help with anti-aging scavenging free radicals which will slow down the aging process and keep your cells healthy

*Protects your liver

*Great for anxiety because it helps instill calmness

However, always be sure to consult your doctor before taking any sort of natural remedies or herbs especially if you have pre existing conditions. And remember….everything in moderation. Too much of anything is not good for you.
