My husbands grandmother had Alzheimer’s for that last few years of her life and it was to the point where she didn’t even know him. It is just so sad and just heartbreaking to have to see this but for him it was just very sad that his grandmother didn’t even recognize him. It is a disease that is frustrating at times and is just horrible. There is an Alzheimer’s Memory Walk that is a 2-3 milk walk which will be held in the Fall. And these walks are held in more than 600 communities to help raise money for the fight against Alzheimer’s.

In fact this organization is the largest event to raise fund for Alzheimer care, support and research and all ages are welcomed to participate. If you team up with the Alzheimer’s Associations you can help that loved one that you know. And even if you don’t know anyone know…who’s to say this terrible disease won’t someday affect you in one way or another….
