Some people have to wear eyeglasses and some people just prefer to wear them as opposed to contact lenses.  My sister has always preferred the contact lenses but I can not do it for some reason.  I just would rather put on a pair of glasses.  And paying $6.95 prescription eyeglasses is so much more affordable than getting all that prescription contact lens stuff.  And you can get really cheap glasses online that are quite fashionable.  I always get compliments on my glasses that I get from Zenni.  I have had my friends and family start buying from them too.  I learned about them through a blog post a few years back and I read up on it and decided to try them and I will never go back to the lens and glasses stores ever again.  I can not believe that I ever paid $200 for a pair of very basic mediocre glasses!  To think that I could have gone online to buy around 20 pairs of glasses for that price..that is just crazy!  I could get a different pair for every day of the month and different colors to go with my outfits.  I can pay $7 for a pair of glasses…$200…not so much!
