Bananas

I have a banana and an orange every morning/day and my daughters love bananas. In fact, when my oldest was a baby she would only eat baby food bananas – if I wanted her to eat other food I’d have to mix it with bananas!!!

Bananas are high in potassium, so, here are some health benefits of the banana;

*Reduce the risk of high blood pressure

Next to strawberries, tomatoes are my favorite summer snack. I have my tomato garden right next to my strawberry patch. And a fresh tomato sandwich is so good – with a little mayonnaise and salt and pepper – Mmmm… Or sometimes I just munch on my cherry tomatoes – they’re so good it’s like candy but only healthier. So here are the health benefits of this tasty fruit..yes fruit!!

*Reduces the risk of prostate, pancreatic, rectal, colon and stomach cancer!

I love oranges – they just remind me of summer and I love summer!!!! During the spring/summer months I have an orange a day and they just taste so good!

I love eating things I like and then finding out that they are just so healthy for you. It’s much better than seeing the health benefits of foods you don’t like and think – “Oh great now I have to acquire a taste for this stuff!!” I even have my own juicer and make my own juice – so much better than store bought juice. If you have the time to make it I highly recommend it.

So, here are the health benefits of Oranges:

*Great anti-inflammatory properties helping people with asthma, and arthritis

I just was having a little lemon with my water today and thought about all the great benefits lemon, lemon thyme, lemon grass and lemon balm offers us…so here they are to you….

*Great for treating varicose veins – great for your capillaries

*If you have headaches suck on a lemon

*If you have shingles have some lemon balm tea

*Also have lemon balm tea before you go to sleep to prevent and help with insomnia

*Suck on a lemon peel if you are having digestive problems or gastrointestinal problems

*Suck on a lemon with salt for bad breath problems

*Ever hear of lemon grass – great for insect repellents – so grow some in your backyard!!
