There are so many great resources out there for people and families that have autism. The autism support is great on sites such as the Autism Support Network. If you have a child that has Aspergers, Retts Syndrome, childhood disintegrative disorder to name a few then there is help for autism affected families. Sometimes you just need more education to really understand it and if you do not know or work with children that have autism then you may not truly understand their needs. It is real and it affects 1 in 150 children…affecting more males than females. The numbers are just crazy and I personally wish that there was more research going into the cause of this. They are trying to treat it but you have to know the cause before you can really treat it. I also think that once a cause is found then prevention is the best method. I think it is very environmental…but we all have our own theories on this. Filed under: Health Resources Comments: None |

Personally, I think that most of the time the generic brands are just as good as the name brands. Most of the time you are just paying for the name and t hat is it…all the ingredients are exactly the same. However you want to make sure that you get the quality generic brands…there are generics out there that try to skimp and changes things so they are not as good and give the generic name a bad rap. And personally, I like the online pharmacy the best. Online pharmacies are just convenient and easy to use. And Better Life Pharmacy is approved by the Pharmacychecker.com – which is important to see in mind so that you know it is a reputable site. They also have a free rewards program that you can take advantage of so that you can even save more money. And theses days the more you can save on things the better!! What do you think about generics? Have you ever dealt with this company too? Filed under: Health Resources Comments: None |

If you are interested in a great resource for herbs check out the 545 pages in this book…Rodale’s Illustrated Encyclopedia of Herbs. This is great for the experience herb gardener or the one just starting out. There is great information on how to grow these herbs, history and how to create your own medicinal herb garden. Personally, I like to go to the library to check out these books before purchasing them because they are a little pricey at times but this one you can get under $20.
