So, you have an ulcer - either from food, medication or just worrying about everything in your lives!! *Sweet Licorice Root *Add more papaya to your diet *Eat smaller meals *Have some comfrey tea *Use some lavender aromatherapy *Ginger - have a cup of ginger tea with a little honey *Have some Aloe Vera Juice *Have some more red peppers in your salads *Avoid stress (try yoga or meditations), smoking, coffee, salt, chocolate, fried foods, sodas and dairy *Have a banana a day - it treats the ulcer away *Have a cup of chamomile or calendula tea *Drink more water *Add more cabbage or cabbage juice to your diet *Eat more blueberries and pineapples *Add more garlic and lemons to your dishes *Always be sure to consult your doctor if you have a current or pre-existing condition before trying natural remedies. I forgot to add this one of my Natural Remedies lists! So if you need a little help with your memory and you find it going and you forgetting simple things - here are some natural remedies to sharpen your memory! *If it is for a test you need good memory - right after you study either go to sleep or even just take a nap * Have some oysters *Laugh more *Eat more wheat germ *Have a spoonful of honey every day *Make sure you don’t have high blood pressure and if you do - lower it *Try to eat fresh fruits and vegetables and whole grain foods *Tape record yourself reading things you need to remember and play it back at night while you are sleeping - I have tried this and I don’t think it worked for me *Get a good nights sleep every night. *Try some lavender aromatherapy - helps stimulate memory *Eat more cinnamon *Have a handful of almods every day *Have some ginkgo biloba *Have some Vitamin B-12 *Try to reduce some stress in your life *Add more brown rice, eggs, fish, nuts, soybeans, tofu, and whole grains *Try not to have caffeine, alcohol and stop smoking! *Eat more bilberries, blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, raisons, plums…things that are high in antioxidants *Have some Gotu Kola *Eat more raisins *Get a little sunshine and go for a walk in the fresh air *Do mental exercises - read, do crossword puzzles, memory poetry… *Take some ginseng *Exercise more *Have some basil, lemon or rosemary tea and/or use it for aromatherapy These may or may not work for you but it’s a lot cheaper than going out and spending $50 on a bottle of pure sugar placebos! *Remember as with anything always eat/drink in moderation!! A few years ago one of my good friends got shingles a couple of months after she had had her baby. She said it was excruciating pain and was out of work for 6 months because of it. My daughter just got her chicken pox vaccination and for some reason it just reminded me of my friend and the ordeal she went through. So, I thought I would complete a list for others that maybe going through this. *Try acupuncture *Make a paste with cayenne pepper and apply it to the affected area *Put some raw honey on the area *To dry up the lesions try calamine lotion *Have some passion flower tea *Eat more foods high in Vitamin C for their infection fighting agents - take suppliants if needed *Eat more foods high in Arginine - nuts, sunflower seeds, chocolate, cereal grains… *Apply Vitamin E to the area *Apply cold never hot compress to the area - even ice would be good *Make a paste of a couple of crushed aspirin and chloroform and apply topically to the area *Apply tea tree oil to the shingles *Try using Lysine cream *Take a cool bath with corn starch *Try applying hydrogen peroxide to the lesions *Make a paste of Aloe Vera gel, Vitamin E capsule and zinc ointment and apply for quick relief *Apply Apple Cider Vinegar to the area - helps ease the pain and itching *Have some cinnamon, Echinacea, licorice, rose hip or ginger tea to help aid in the healing process *Make some lemon balm tea and apply topically with cotton balls a few times a day - you can also try apply licorice tea to it also *Make a compress with cabbage leaves - said to absorb the toxins *Drink some pear juice *Eat some more soybeans and watercress *Make a mixture of St. Johns Wort and horsetail juice and drink 1 tbsp. everyday - said to help rebuild damaged nerves *Take Vitamin B-12 and Vitamin E supplements *When applying anything topical be sure to keep it away from eyes and sensitive skin and try just a little on the area first. *Always be sure to consult your doctor if you have a current or pre-existing condition before trying natural remedies. Do you grind your teeth? Or even worse have to listen to someone grind there teeth…it is very annoying and almost like nails down chalk board. Here are somethings you can do to help maybe reduce or eliminate this problem. But be sure to discuss this with your dentist because this could become a real problem for your teeth over a long period of time. *Drink less alcohol *Take a bath before you go to bed *Have a nice cup of lavender tea in the evening *Get a mouth guard especially made for when you sleep *Take some calcium supplements along with magnesium supplements before sleeping *Have someone massage your muscles to relieve some of the tention you may have *Have some passion flower or lemon balm tea - very relaxing *Cut back on your sugar in take *Try some deep breathing to help you relax before you go to sleep Filed under: Natural Remedies ![]() Comments: None |

If you have hemorrhoids do not cheap out on the horrible toilet paper…you may even want to consider using baby wipes until you are healed. And be sure not to take things that have aspirin or ibuprofen because they can encourage bleeding - you may want to consider taking a Tylenol instead that has acetaminophen.
