Dandelions

So I’ve already talked about Violets and Sunflowers - how about Dandelions - Just toss them in with your salads - I find that to be the easiest way to eat them. They’re not the tastiest but in a salad…not bad. Or you could boil the leaves and make them into a dandelion tea!

Dandelions roots and leaves have been used for preventing
*Osteoporosis - great for bones and joints

They have also been known for treating:

*Bladder infections

*Breastfeeding problems

*Pneumonia

*Good for hormonal imbalances - good for menopausal women and PMS

*Tonsillitis

*Great for your urinary tract and for cleansing your liver

*Helps treat skin problems such as calluses, eczema, jaundice and blisters

*If you suffer from a loss of appetite - have some dandelion tea or throw some in your salad

The tropical plant, Australian Tea Tree, is an excellent topical remedy for so many ailments. I’m compiled a list of things that Tea Tree Oil (Melaleuca alternifolia) is great for:

*Acne, pimples, blackheads - great for the skin in general

*Helps ease the itch and rid chiggers

*Helps relieve and speed up the healing process for poison ivy, sumac and oak

*Great for insect bites, bee stings…

*Minor infections, cuts, sores, blisters, splinters and abrasions

*It penetrates in skin - great for bacterial infections - for toenails, fingernails, even in your gums and toothaches and pains

*Help with your complexion problems

*Helps treat scabies

*Topical relief for shingles

*Excellent for fungal infections - toenails, ringworm, yeast infections, athlete’s feet…

*Good for viral infections also such as warts and cold sores.

*Even takes away pain for arthritis pains

*Helps soothe and treat sunburns and minor burns

*Helps treat vaginitis

*Great for treating earaches

*Swish around to beat gingivitis - do not swallow it though - oil is not to be taken internally

*Cures and kills of head lice and ticks

*Helps cure your dandruff problems!!!!

*It helps your immune system fight off the common cold and even the chicken pox! (In steam form)

*Even good for your respiratory system for coughs, asthma, bronchitis…create a tea tree oil steam

These are just a few of the benefits of Tea Tree Oil. It has so many excellent medicinal qualities - to list them all would probably take days!!! As it would listing all the fabulous medicinal qualities in Apple Cider Vinegar

*Remember as with anything always eat/drink in moderation!! Too much of anything is not good for you. And be sure to always consult your doctor for pre-existing and current conditions before trying natural remedies. Personally I would only use tea tree oil topically.

My Top 5 Anti Fungal Herbs

So you have a fungal infection - yeast infection, jock itch, athlete’s foot…

Here are my 5 best anti-fungal herbs I have seen to be successful for fungal infections whether it’s in tea form or even combining them to make a mixture for topical usage.

Garlic
Licorice
Tea tree
Chamomile
Golden seal

There are many more but this is just my reduced top 5 list. Others I like include angelica, sage, peppermint, black walnut, turmeric, lavender and black pepper.

*Remember as with anything always eat/drink in moderation!! Too much of anything is not good for you. And be sure to always consult your doctor for pre-existing and current conditions before trying natural remedies. Do not take if pregnant.

What’s better than Chocolate? Well, in my opinion Vanilla is!! I love vanilla - the taste, the smell and now the benefits!!

*The scent of vanilla arouses desire and serves as a great natural aphrodisiac and sexual stimulant

*Vanilla tea has a calming effect making it great if you have anxiety, stress, or even if you are just frustrated and your nerves are frazzled

*Enhances the flavors of fruits

*Excellent anti-oxidant

*Improves ones circulation

*Helps soothe and treat sunburns and minor burns

*Vanillin - Has been known to have anti-tumor properties reducing the growth of cancer cells. Studies have shown it to be a treatment for breast cancer because of it’s effects on the cancer cells

*May prove to be a treatment for Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease because of the aroma’s calming and healing effect on neurodegenerative diseases

*Vanilla boosts brain activity and is a feel good aroma and taste

*Can help with weight loss - vanilla can reduce a persons desire to eat sweets

*Vanilla will prevent drowsiness - so put a vanilla air freshener in your car when you plan on taking long trips!

*Improves muscular energy

*Helps with tooth ache pain
