White Tea is Better Than Green Tea
Posted on 08.13.08 by Your Natural Remedies @

Both white and green tea have a ton of great health benefits. Here is an article that I have foudn though that found that white tea is just better at fighting off bugs more so than the green tea. It is all a preferance of flavor though. I like the white tea better. Never really like the taste of the green tea.

Numerous studies of the properties of green tea have shown that the beverage can stimulate the human immune system to fight against a variety of diseases, but new research presented this week suggests that its cousin, white tea, may have even more powerful bug-busting properties. Read More Here…

Posted on 03.05.08 by Your Natural Remedies @

Tea contains polyphenols which is why gives the tea its antioxidant properties that make tea so popular. These antioxidancts protect your body from that free radical damage that causes aging and premature aging. There are numerous benefits of many teas but I just recently read that these polyphenols reduce the rist of gastric, esophageal and even skin cancers if you have 4 to 6 cups a day. And consuming that much a day will also help preven blood clotting and even lower you cholesterol levels (do not add milk). The most interesting thing was that only 2 cups a day will lover the risk of ovarian cancer by 46% in women!

Milk In Teas
Posted on 02.25.08 by Your Natural Remedies @

Do not add milk in your green or white teas…not only does it taste absolutely horrible but it also takes out all the healthy benefits that the teas can do for you..like lowering your risk of cancers, lowering blood pressure and helping you lose weight as well! And add honey to sweeten your teas…putting honey is so much better than white sugars. Although you do lose any health benefits of the tea because it is in hot water. Personally, I prefer white tea over green … it has a lot more powerful health benefits actually.

Here is a great article on this…
Those looking for an antidote to holiday overindulgence may have added “drink more tea” to their lists of New Year’s resolutions, given past studies linking the drink to health benefits. But new research indicates this could all be in vain if you add a splash of milk.

German researchers have found that the relaxing effect of a few cups of ordinary black tea on the arteries is completely wiped out by milk.

When you have Green tea you are probably thinking that you are getting great antioxidants as well. If you put milk in your tea you will neutralize Any benefits it may have possessed. however if you and some lemon juice to your green tea you will the most out of it. Did you know that you really only get 20% of the antioxidants because 80% disappear because of your digestive process but if you add lemon you will actually only lose 20% and retain the other 80%…at a little lemon and stay young!
