Personally, I would much rather have a piece of fresh fruit or vegetable because I truly believe that a lot of nutrients are lost in juices because you don’t get the benefits of the skins or pulps. Also, a lot of store bought fruit juices contain a lot of artificial or added sugars and only have a small percentage of fruit juice. So, when shopping for fruit juices be sure to always read the label. However there are said benefits of juicing your fruits and vegetables. *By juicing you are removing what they call the indigestible fibers of the fruit or vegetable. Therefore, you are basically getting more nutrition out of the fruit or vegetable when it is juiced because the minerals and vitamins are now more easy to digest. *Good source of liquid. Most people don’t drink enough water so juices can nicely supplement your water intake. Coffee’s, soda’s and alcohol does not count as a beneficial source of liquid for your body. *Keep in mind fresh uncooked juices are always the best. If you can get a juicer and have the time I highly recommend it instead of buying juices. *Juicing provides for an excellent substitute from eating fruits and vegetable for those who can not eat them. *You can combine many more fruits and vegetables together to make up different juice drinks. *If you are fasting juices are a better way to cleanse your body than just water itself. Like I said…personally, I much rather would enjoy a fresh fruit or vegetable but as you can see juicing does seem to have its benefits also. *Remember as with anything always eat/drink in moderation!! Too much of anything is not good for you. And be sure to always consult your doctor for pre-existing and current conditions before trying natural remedies.
